The Grand War News & Patreon

Hello, all! First of all, I would like to make a shameless plug toward my recent step toward actually getting paid for what I do: Patreon. For those of you who don't know, it's a service in which you sign up to be a "patron" and pay a content creator either after each creation or once per month. I have elected to do it based on one payment each map, so payments will be relatively far apart. While you can still get all of my content for free, helping me via Patreon will help make sure that content stays free, including no ads on this site and all my maps posted for everyone to see. In addition, it'll make sure that I will fulfill requests for maps for the low, low price of free rather than take commissions. So yeah, check it out.

In other news, I'm still very glad that my little prologue got so much attention! Now, I've been at an impasse since, besides more maps, there isn't much I can release of The Grand War since I at least want to try to professionally publish it. However, I also want to at least offer some content of it to all of you for free, so I came up with an idea.

While creating the cast of characters for the book, there were a number of characters that, for whatever reason, I cut from the book. The characters themselves are still pretty great and for several of them I have notes on them, so, I thought, why not turn those characters into their own novellas set in The Grand War's universe? That way, I can offer some content for free on here (which will get me more traffic as a bonus) while still sending in the main book to publishers. The characters themselves would cover events during the titular war, though some would act as a prologue too. The novellas will take a while to write as well, but I can probably get one out by next summer, and release it by chapter.

Sound good? I think it does.
